it’s International Women’ Day and the league is once again marking this date. It celebrates and highights the social, economic cultural and political achievements of women. We are at home on Friday to Cambrian, kick off is 07.30pm and will be celebrating the day.
Derby Day
Weather permitting we host another derby game tonight when Goytre United visit the Marston stadium. We will look to recover from last week’s disappointing result at Cwmbran and with several players returning we hope to see an improved performance. Kick off time is 7.30 pm
Another Local Derby
Tonight we face Baglan Dragons for the third time this season. To date we won 3-1 in the League Cup and 1-0 in the League Game. Let’s hope we make it a hat trick tonight. Kick off is at 7.30 pm
Preston Camps-Lee RIP
Everyone at Afan Lido Football Club is devastated to hear of the tragic passing of our under 16’s player, Preston Camps-Lee. Preston was a valued member of our youth section and attended all senior matches as an ardent supporter of the club. He will be missed by all. We would like to extend our sympathies and deepest condolences to Preston’s family and friends at this heartbreaking time.
Boxing Day Defeat
We have to chance to rectify Boxing Day’s result when we play the return fixture against Trefelin on Saturday December 30th, kick off is at 2.30
