Progress in cup

we drew 1-1 at Penybont of the premier league Liam McCreesh gave us the lead with a penalty only for Penybont to equalise just on half time. The second half saw no further goals so it was straight to penalties. Both sides scored the first three before Steve Cann saved the fourth only for Matthew Beynon to have his saved. Both sides converted their fifth penalty to take it to sudden death. Steve Cann saved the sixth penalty with Brad Flay netting to see us through.

McCreesh stars in opening day win

Captain for the day Liam McCreesh led by example netting a hat trick on the opening day of the season. He opened the scoring on the half hour converting a cross from John Hall. Brother Jackson then conceded a penalty on 40 minutes but Exauce Dimonekene making his league debut for the club made a fine save to his left. It proved to be a vital save as two minutes later McCreesh doubled the lead latching on to a Sean Hanbury cross. He made the game safe when he scored his third on the restart of the second half with an assist from Josh Webber. A satisfactory start to the league campaign ahead of next Friday’s league cup tie at premier league Penybont.
